Charlotte Motor Speedway

The Charlotte Motor Speedway (formerly known as Lowes Motor Speedway) is America’s Home for Racing. Here, NASCAR fans can come together to watch the races and participate in events such as the NASCAR Racing Experience and Mario Andretti Racing Experience, where fans can drive or take a ride as a passenger in a real NASCAR stock car or a full size, Indy-style race car. Going to the game as a family? Enjoy some time in the Fan Zone where you can have hours of fun at the merchandise tents and kids can enjoy the Play Zone with bounce houses, face painters and a petting zoo.
The speedway is used more than 300 times a year to host numerous events and plays host to two of the nation’s largest car shows. If the track looks familiar to you, it may be because various motion pictures, including “Days of Thunder”, “Speedway”, and “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” have been filmed here, as well as music videos like Tracy Lawrence’s “If the Good Die Young”.
